Ion Collar. Las Otras Miradas Festival

Ion collar. Born in Errenteria, Gipuzkoa. Between 1996 and 1999, he studied image and sound at the Film and Video School of Andoain (ESCIVI). He is a technical specialist in the production of television programs, cinema, and performances.

His career began with the production of newscasts for local television stations including Oarso Telebista (Errenteria) and Kanal On (Andoain) while he continued his studies at the school of image and sound. At the end of the 1990s, he began his cinematographic career in production and management, collaborating with directors such as Michael Apted, Gerardo Herrero, Vicente Aranda, Marcelo Piñeyro, Enrique Gabriel, Daniel Monzón, JC Fresnadillo, John Malkovich, Jaime Rosales, Benito Zambrano, and Pedro Olea. He has participated in major national and international productions alike (007, Carmen, Spotlight, The Gronholm Method, Dance Steps, Intact, etc.), and he has collaborated with the vast majority of the producers of Spain on more than 50 feature films (Kanzaman, Morena Films, Tornasol, and others).

From 2011 to 2015, he developed his work as producer and executive producer for Naniano SL (, a company of which he was a founding partner. With this company, he produced the feature films The Basque Swastika, El amor amargo de Chavela, and the short films Una vez, Todos los animals se mueren siempre, Albaitari (stories based on social themes). All these projects have been distinguished with numerous international awards at recognized film festivals (Montreal, Bogota, Nantes, Busan, etc.).

He is currently making a pause in his cinematographic and audiovisual career while he serves as the Councilman of Culture for the town council of Errenteria, Gipuzkoa.

Michel Gaztambide. Las Otras Miradas Festival

Michel Gaztambide. Screenwriter of more than 20 films, he won the Goya Award in 2012 for the film script No Rest for the Wicked. His script Cows also received numerous awards. He is a scriptwriting professor at different schools and universities in San Sebastián, Barcelona, Madrid, Valencia, and other cities.

Mentxu Arrieta. Las Otras Miradas Festival

Mentxu Arrieta. Ph.D. in Social Psychology (cum laude). Diploma in criminology. Master’s in Sexology. Scriptwriter, painter, poet, clown, assistant theater director, lecturer. Co-protagonist of the documentary El método Arrieta by Jorge Gil.

Blanca Zaragüeta. Las Otras Miradas Festival

Blanca Zaragüeta (Donostia, 1961). Postgraduate in Film Scriptwriting and Directing, she has worked on the production of feature films. For the past decade, her training has been directed at the production of short films in schools and collectives. She is the founder and director of the Festival.

Xabier Ortiz. Las Otras Miradas Festival

Xabier Ortiz de Urbina (Donostia 1990), es licenciado en Comunicación Audiovisual y cuenta con un Master en Documental Creativo por la UAB. A colaborado con la Asociación Cultural Ikertze impartiendo talleres de cine a escolares y colectivos de personas con discapacidad. Actualmente realiza piezas audiovisuales por su cuenta y lleva a cabo su tesis doctoral acerca de la comedia en el cine documental.

Raquel Romero. Las Otras Miradas Festival

Raquel Romero. Degree in Journalism from the University of the Basque Country. Fourteen years at Euskal Telebista writing and working on the production of a variety of programs including adventure and entertainment programs, debates, news, reports, etc. As an expert in the field of cultural management, she worked on the launch of the Sarobe Cinema Room in Urnieta (Gipuzkoa). She currently works at Ikertze in the area of sponsorship and production.

Esperanza Luffiego. Las Otras Miradas Festival

Esperanza Luffiego (San Sebastián-Donostia, 1963). Degree in audiovisual communication from Complutense University in Madrid (1982-1987). Since 2012, she has been the co-head of the Department of Industry of the San Sebastián Film Festival. Audiovisual Coordinator of the International Center of Contemporary Culture-Tabakalera, 2008-2012. Professor of Film History and Audiovisual Media at the School of Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Deusto, San Sebastián, 1999-2003. Coordinator of the Cinema Room of the Performing Arts Center-Sarobe, 1994-2002. Programming Director of the Film Library of Andalusia, 1990-1991. Teacher of production, screenwriting, and audiovisual language in the Professional Training Center ESCIVI (School of Film and Video), Andoain, 1988-1990.
